Job Description

Actual Position Title: Senior Reliability 

  • Guiding and developing the Reliability Engineering team to improve equipment reliability and optimise asset performance across the site.
  • Identify plant improvement opportunities through Loss Profile Analysis
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise plant output
  • Design and refine condition monitoring programs for all assets
  • Conduct detailed reliability studies using statistical tools, reliability modelling, and Weibull analysis
  • Lead multidisciplinary investigations into major plant failures
  • Identify root and latent causes, create actionable plans, and track implementation
  • Define maintenance strategies using RCM methodology, including criticality assessments and FMEAs
  • Support strategy rollout within the Pronto CMMS
  • Work with operations and project engineering teams to embed reliability and maintainability into new asset designs
  • Ensure alignment with applicable engineering standards and guidelines

Qualifications/Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor degree
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
• Valid driver’s licence
• Expertise in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
• Proficient in condition monitoring techniques
• Sound financial understanding and budgeting capability
• Broad mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
• Strong understanding of fixed plant and mobile equipment systems
• In-depth knowledge of condition-based maintenance principles and practices
• Advanced data collection and analysis
• Strong financial acumen
• Proficient in root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto charts, and scatter diagrams
