Job Description

Off Shoring:
  • Evaluate, together with the Regional Processes & Optimization Manager, the activities which must be offshored based on TOM@Ocean footprint.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements, drive process implementations in the SSC and monitor their impact and benefits.
  • Plan and coordinate offshore projects in APAC for ocean operations
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements
  • Documentation of project initiation, deliverables, project plans and benefits tracking (milestone achievement, productivity, cost savings)
  • Develop service packs, SOPs, guidelines and desktop procedure for activities which must be offshored
  • Overlook transfer of work between countries and offshored centers
  • Post project evaluation and documentation of lessons learned
  • Performance review and monitoring of Operational Data Quality and Productivity (volume tracking, trigger for resources adjustments)
  • Actively manage stakeholder communication
  • Production System:
  • Coach and challenge SSC Operations in identifying, prioritizing, and specifying IT related demands to ensure high quality of business specifications
  • Closely work with Regional Production Systems team to align and prioritize demands and manage the regional Ocean demand pipeline
  • Organize and ensure execution of UAT across SSC teams together with the Ocean Processes and Systems Specialist under the coordination of Global Ocean
Production Systems
  • Work with Global and liaise with other Regions to advise and support development and maintenance of target blueprints and roadmaps
  • Facilitate business requirements definition for local interfaces with customers, suppliers, and other external partners
  • Lead quality investigations and Root Cause Analysis using lean tools to improve operational data quality.
  • Provides 2d level business support for escalated cases. requiring in-depth functional knowledge in close collaboration with the Regional Training & Support function
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to revise, update and amend policies, and guidelines to reflect latest regulations.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of business process context and operational environments in global ocean freight forwarding
  • Profound experience in and knowledge of Ocean Freight regulatory aspects.
  • Business Process Management application knowledge
  • In depth TANGO application functionalities knowledge
  • Experience in creating process guidelines, understanding of business and customers’ requirements
  • Basic Project Management skills
  • Strong communications, influencing, and negotiations skills

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present both written and oral information

  • At least five years of experience in Air/Ocean Freight operations, with
  • at least one year of supervisory, coaching, or trainer-like experience required
  • Forwarding apprenticeship, university degree in related technical/business areas, or equivalent work experience
  • At least one or two years of experience in handling complex Projects (not mandatorily as project manager)
