The Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the safety of guests at the resort's swimming areas, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and providing immediate response in case of emergencies. The Lifeguard will monitor water activities, enforce rules, and maintain a safe environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Water Surveillance:
1. Monitor the pool and beach areas at all times to ensure the safety of guests.
2. Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
3. Prevent accidents by enforcing resort safety rules and regulations.
Emergency Response:
1. Provide immediate rescue assistance to guests in distress.
2. Administer first aid, CPR, or other life-saving techniques as necessary.
3. Coordinate with medical personnel and resort management during emergencies.
Guest Safety & Interaction:
1. Educate guests on water safety guidelines and swimming best practices.
2. Ensure that all swimming equipment is used correctly and safely.
3. Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with guests.
Facility Maintenance:
1. Inspect pool, beach, and surrounding areas daily for potential hazards.
2. Keep swimming areas, decks, and equipment clean and well-maintained.
3. Report any maintenance issues to the Resort OIC or Utility
Teamwork & Communication:
1. Work collaboratively with other resort staff to maintain safety protocols.
2. Participate in daily safety briefings and emergency drills.
3. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve safety standards.
Work Conditions:
a. Must be able to work in outdoor environments with prolonged exposure to sun and heat.
b. Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
c. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
