BASIC FUNCTION:
The MedAsia Representative cum Liaison Officer provides clients with excellent customer service by providing the right
advice and recommendations, good rapport, updated knowledge on MedAsia products and services to health plan
members. He/she constantly provides back-up service to ensure that the image of the company is maintained at all
times.
REGULAR DUTIES:
1. Coordinates with the point person of the accredited healthcare/medical institutions, corporation/insurance
company assigned to him/her to deliver customer satisfaction.
2. Signs and issues Letter of Authorization (LOA) to allow health plan member to avail of healthcare services
according to his/her enrolled health plan benefits with accredited healthcare/medical institutions and/or
physicians.
3. Coordinates with the Operations Center of MedAsia and with the accredited healthcare/medical institutions in
monitoring availments of health plan members.
4. Collects LOA and claims documents from healthcare/medical institutions and physicians for processing and
payment.
5. Delivers remittances or payments to accredited medical professionals and/or medical institutions when
applicable.
6. Maintains existing accredited healthcare/medical institutions and physicians on a continuing basis through
quality customer service.
7. Coordinates with the accredited hospital where the health plan member is admitted and assists in providing
information to the member on his/her medical benefits and limits, possible date of discharge and other needed
information.
8. Checks and verifies health plan member’s confinement versus the first call report and insurance company’s
approval on confinement.
9. Checks and assesses the confined health plan members’ bill from the medical institution’s billing section,
whenever applicable.
10. Computes the health plan coverage and amount to be paid by the confined health plan member.
11. Monitors hospital bills.
12. Coordinates with Claims and Processing Dept. on health plan member’s reimbursements, if any and releases
reimbursement checks to concerned member.
13. Collects excess billings from the confined health plan member, if any.
14. Attends to and resolves immediately complaints of clients/members and ensures that clients/members’
complaints are minimized.
15. Responds to members’ inquiries.
16. Coordinates and provides service on concerns of health plan members.
17. Maintains good customer relations with the health plan members and assigned representatives of the
corporation dealing with MedAsia.
18. Prepares a report on the frequency and nature of member complaints received, issued LOAs and other reports
required by management and submits these to his/her superior.
19. Projects the company’s desired image.
20. Performs other tasks or responsibilities as may be assigned to him by his/her superior.
