BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Paralegal will provide support to the legal team by conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and assisting with case management. The role involves organizing and maintaining files, drafting legal documents, and ensuring the company legal obligations are met. The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle all legal concerns of the company, coordinating with the Legal and Compliance Manager and retained lawyers for legal opinions when needed.
- Assist the Legal and Compliance Manager in filing pleadings in court and quasi-judicial bodies as required.
- Report and disseminate important updates and information related to legal matters and compliance to the management.
- Lead research on laws, rules, and regulations as needed, keeping the Legal and Compliance Manager informed of policy changes.
- Monitor compliance with government regulations and ensure timely submission of required reports to relevant agencies (e.g., SEC, BIR, NPC, DA, FDA, NMIS, BAI, BOC, DOLE).
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising legal notices, memos, and corporate documents.
- Draft and participate in reviewing company policies and contracts with clients.
- Attend proceedings in courts and tribunals such as DOLE and NLRC when necessary.
- Assist in drafting legal documents, including position papers, memoranda, and correspondence with clients or government authorities.
- Attend client meetings where legal or contractual matters are involved.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Legal and Compliance Manager and the management.
