Job Summary:
The Hotel Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and other laundry items are cleaned, dried, folded, and stored properly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Laundry Operations: Collect, sort, and process dirty laundry, including linens, towels.
Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment according to hotel standards.Use appropriate detergents and chemicals while adhering to safety guidelines.
Fold and store clean laundry neatly in designated areas.
Inspect laundered items for stains, tears, or damages and report any issues.
Guest & Hotel Service:
Handle guest laundry requests, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding.
Deliver guest laundry promptly and ensure accurate billing if applicable.
Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens and towels for guest rooms and other hotel areas.
Cleanliness & Safety:
Maintain a clean and organized laundry room.
Follow hotel safety procedures, including proper use of chemicals and handling of heavy loads.
Ensure laundry machines and equipment are in good working condition and report maintenance issues.
Linen Inventory Management:
Track and maintain an accurate count of linens, towels, and other fabric-based inventory.
Monitor linen usage and report shortages, losses, or excessive wear and tear.
Coordinate with vendors for linen purchases and repairs as needed.
Distribute clean linens to housekeeping and other hotel departments as required.
Rotate linens properly to extend their lifespan and reduce waste.
General Responsibilities:
Follow hotel safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of soiled linens.
Maintain communication with housekeeping and front office to fulfill linen requests.
Assist in stockroom organization and ensure proper storage of clean linens.
Report maintenance issues with laundry equipment to management.
Follow all hotel policies and procedures related to laundry and linen management.
