JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimates property boundaries and measures land features for construction projects, mapmaking, mining, and legal purposes.
• Measures property lines and surveys properties.
• Inspects properties for structural damage and makes recommendations for repairs.
• Advises on energy efficiency and environmental impact.
• Plays an important role in various industries, including real estate, construction, infrastructure development, and environmental management.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Education: Typically high school graduates who completed A levels in business studies, economics, mathematics, or a similar subject area.
2. Training: Relevant training to understand different construction costs and concepts.
3. Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
4. Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
5. Skills.
6. Experience.
To become a quantity surveyor, you typically need a bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction economics, or a related field.
