The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for conducting routine physical and chemical analyses in conformance to standard methods and/or laboratory developed test methods, while maintaining a clean, orderly and safe work area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducts routine analyses of physical and chemical test parameters on submitted food samples
• Utilize a wide variety of laboratory equipment including moisture analyzer, water active meter, viscometer, etc. to test for submitted food samples
• Ensures credibility and accuracy of results through quality control checks
• Conducts physico-chemical testing analysis on submitted Raw Materials for batch trial products, products with customer complaints and RM MSS Samples necessary for material qualification
• Performs quality assurance of received laboratory reagents and prepares reagents used for analysis.
• Reviews COA and conducts carrier inspection of delivered Raw Materials.
• Reviews COI on delivered Packaging Materials through dimensional analysis and actual testing at production lines.
• Maintains accurate and thorough records of laboratory procedures and results.
• Prepares samples for testing and evaluation.
• Prepares Laboratory Test Reports.
