Driving and Classroom Instructor
Job Description:
1. Work religiously to reach the set forth monthly sales target of the branch. This includes total collaboration with its co-employees and immediate superiors to formulate interventions and proposals.
2. Delivers classroom and/or in-car lessons clearly and effectively in a professional manner;
3. Follows the teaching module provided by the company for each driving school service as guided by the guidelines/policy set forth for driving instructors and branch associates in accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 2019-2176 and 2021-2284, including all revisions it may entail in the future as prescribed by the Land Transportation Office – Regional Accreditation Committee (RAC).
4. Complies with the guidelines and all documentary requirements needed for the position, set by the LTO;
5. Ensures that vehicles assigned, classroom, and equipment of the company are clean, intact, free from damage, in order, and only used for business purposes only;
6. Deals with clients in a polite, precise, and professional manner;
7. Attends classes based on the schedule given;
8. Administers and ensure firm, fair, and consistent class control (in classroom and/or vehicle);
9. Assists all enrolled students and provides accurate data of assessment and feedback to enhance academic progression for proper recommendation;
10. Provides all students with high-quality teaching experience; and prepares lessons that are tailored to the student's needs. Discuss the classification of road safety, traffic, signage under the R.A 4136 and other laws, road courtesy, hand signals, and traffic rules and regulations as well as violations and fines. Discuss basic automotive parts, servicing and troubleshooting;
11. Teaches practical skills related to all aspects of defensive driving;
12. Helps students to develop confidence in their driving skills;
13. Gains control of the vehicle during emergencies;
14. Documents and reports on student's progress through the class card/progress card; Conduct assessment to student drivers whether they passed, failed, or need to retake;
15. Informs students when they are ready to take the driver's test;
16. Interview, evaluate, and verify if the student has the knowledge and confidence to maneuver a vehicle including gear changing and other related executions before taking the actual driving course for proper usage of the vehicle and to avoid property damage and avoid student experience traumatized situation due to vehicular accident caused by negligence.
17. Submit on time to the Branch OIC/Cluster heads vehicle maintenance recommendations as needed.
18. Report all accidents to the Head of the driving school in not less than 24hrs of any case that may arise; and
19. Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
