The IT Specialist is under the Supervision of the IT Officer. His main role requires planning and development. Assist in the system implementation, programming activities, and technical requirements and troubleshooting.
2.0 STATEMENTS OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Guarantee that all hardware machines (workstations, servers, switch, etc.) especially those inside the ISD office are normally operating, well maintained and protected. Performs preventive maintenance and overall proper housekeeping of all computer equipment.
2.2 Administer/monitor existing network infrastructure that includes Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN). Coordinates network related problem as it arises.
2.3 Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and system error and gives appropriate solutions. This includes installations and configuration of hardware peripherals, software or application packages.
2.4 Conduct system orientation, unit testing, end user training and user acceptance test.
2.5 Secure final approvals of system procedures, manuals, system blueprints and test scripts.
2.6 Performs request as stipulated in User Service Request Form duly approved by the requesting Department Manager.
2.7 Perform daily/weekly cut-off task.
2.8 Supervise the work of the IT Staff.
2.9 Perform other duties and jobs assigned and ordered by the IT Officer.
