As a Human Resource and Labor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that management and employees engage effectively and have constructive interactions. Your expertise of labor laws, employee relations, and resolution of disputes will help to create a peaceful work environment while adhering to legal standards. You will perform a variety of HR responsibilities and serve as a link between management and employees to foster a productive workforce.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain positive employee relationships by promoting open communication, resolving employee issues, and promoting the resolution of conflicts.
- Interpret and enforce labor laws, employment rules, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are in accordance with labor relations goals.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions to ensure fair and objective judgments and outcomes.
- Stay up to date on labor market trends, industry standards, and changes in employment legislation to maintain compliance and recommend policy and practice improvements.
- Develop and implement training programs that will assist management and employees better understand labor laws and best practices in labor relations.
- Maintain accurate personnel records regarding labor relations actions and generate reports as needed.
