Job Description

St Vincent General Hospital Cebu, Inc is currently looking for HR Assistant/ HR Generalist ; 

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department by performing a variety of tasks related to recruitment, employee records, timekeeping, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR operations. The role helps ensure smooth and efficient HR processes in alignment with the organization’s policies and goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Assist in posting job vacancies on various platforms and coordinating with applicants.
  • Schedule interviews, exams, and assist in pre-employment processing.
  • Facilitate onboarding procedures and orientation for new hires.
  • Prepare 201 files and ensure completeness of employment documents.

2. Records Management

  • Maintain and update employee records both digitally and physically.
  • Organize and file HR documents such as contracts, memos, disciplinary actions, and certifications.
  • Assist in generating HR-related reports and data summaries as needed.

3. Timekeeping & Attendance

  • Monitor and verify employee attendance and leave records.
  • Assist in preparing timekeeping reports for payroll processing.
  • Coordinate with departments regarding attendance discrepancies.

4. Benefits Administration

  • Assist employees with inquiries related to government-mandated and company benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, HMO, etc.).
  • Process requests for employee certifications, employment verification, and government form applications.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Preferably with 6 months to 1 year of relevant HR or administrative experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Trustworthy and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
