Job Description

Role Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the daily shift operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with established standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead a team of housekeepers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping team, assigning duties, and ensuring they adhere to cleaning standards and schedules.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure sufficient stock levels.
  • Ensure knowledge and utilization of property procurement application e.g. SCM, Fidelio PSC, etc.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established standards.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Assists in the development of the housekeeping department budget and managing expenses within budgetary constraints.
  • Enforce safety regulations and compliance with health and sanitation standards, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Liaise with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to coordinate cleaning schedules and address any issues that may arise.
  • Provide training to new housekeeping team member on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment and chemicals.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • College Graduate or level
  • Previous vocational trainings in Housekeeping e.g. NC II is an advantage
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on cleanliness.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
