A heavy truck driver transports goods over various distances using large commercial vehicles like tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or other heavy trucks, ensuring safe and timely delivery while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. They are also responsible for loading and unloading cargo, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries.

Qualifications/Requirements

a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Class A endorsement, a clean driving record, and to be at least 21 years old. You'll also need to pass a drug test and potentially a criminal background check. Additional endorsements like HAZMAT or Tanker may be required depending on the type of cargo
