1. The Mechanic is responsible to perform Daily and Weekly Preventive Maintenance activities of all Cargo Handling
Equipment (CHE). Its function includes performing minor and major repair for all Cargo Handling at most economical
cost of repair and identifying required spare parts for replacement and conducting quality inspection of parts and repair.
2. Assures Cargo Handling Equipment (CHE) availability meets the set target and reliability for operation
3. Perform daily & weekly Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP)
4. Conduct regular monitoring of breakdown of CHE & advise Operations of Estimated time of completion of CHE repair
5. Conduct immediate inspection of CHE based on Operators complaint or breakdown, and prepare incident report
6. Analyze the cause of CHE breakdown
7. Prepare Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS) of CHE major repair
8. Perform repair standards
9. Prepare list of parts that are due for replacement and submit to Equipment Surveyor
10. Delegate repair tasks to Helper-Mechanic
11. Checks repair conducted by Mechanic to ensure compliance to repair standard
12. Assures proper safe-keeping of all company tools, parts and other company asset
13. Prepare accurate and on-time submission of required repair on M-logbook
14. Prepare Trip Ticket for CHE deployment
15. Other functions as may be required.
