  • Perform major and minor repairs on heavy equipment and trucks.
    • Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks on equipment, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes.
    • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and identify necessary repairs.
    • Work with operators to understand any issues and problems with the machinery.
    • Use hydraulic jacks or hoist, as required, to complete repair jobs.
    • Keep logs of work and report any issues.
    • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
    • Comply with safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
    • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of heavy equipment and trucks.
    • Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
    • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
    • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
    • Diploma from a Trade School or relevant certification.
