Job Description

Calculates and plans the total radiation dose required for daily treatment of the patient.
Determines the location of tumors to ensure correct positioning of patients for administering each treatment
Explain treatment plans to the patient and answers questions about treatment
Monitors the quality status of Radiation Oncology equipment, LINAC and CT-Simulation.
Performs measurements on radiological equipment intended for diagnostic or therapy use to obtain physics data
Verifies compliance with the requirements of safety standards
Coordinates with Property, Maintenance and/or manufacturer/supplier regarding preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment
Calibrates and tests new radiation oncology equipment before and after its introduction into clinical use
Provides advice on the observance of safety standards for protection against ionizing and non-ionizing radiation
Performs other related functions as may be assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
  • Training: 8 hours of relevant training
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
  • Eligibility: Career Service (Professional) / Second Level Eligibility
