Summary:
The Financial & accounting specialist will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting the preparation of financial statements. The role requires a solid understanding of Philippine tax regulations, bookkeeping, and financial reporting under PFRS/IFRS.
Key responsibilities
1. Tax Compliance & BIR Filings
-Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, Income Tax, Expanded Withholding Tax, etc.) via BIR eFPS and eBIRForms.
-Ensure timely submission of alphalist (ATC 2316), FS submissions, and other BIR requirements.
-Assist with tax audits, respond to BIR inquiries, and maintain compliance with local tax ordinances.
2. Financial Reporting & Accounting
-Assist in drafting monthly cashflow chart, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with PFRS/IFRS.
-Perform bank reconciliations, GL monitoring, and month-end closing.
-Maintain accurate records of accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR), payroll, and petty cash.
3. Audit & Documentation
-Support external auditors during annual audits by preparing schedules and reconciling discrepancies.
-Organize and safeguard financial documents (invoices, receipts, contracts) for compliance.
4. Process Improvement
-Recommend efficiency improvements in accounting workflows and internal controls.
-Assist in implementing accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
