Job Description

    • The Director of Finance is responsible for accessing and reporting on the Hotel's day-to-day financial performance.
    • Leads the Hotel's monthly Financial Statement, Forecasts and supports and coordination of all financial reports, contracts and other relevant documents that affect financial capacity and operations of the Hotel.
    • Leads the preparation and execution of the Annual Budget in accordance with the corporate guidelines.
    • Ensures the Finance Department keep abreast on the latest developments in taxation, audit and accounting that will be applied/used in the financial report preparation and those that have a direct effect to the operation and compliance of the Hotel.
    • Leads and directs the Information Technology department and Purchasing department to ensure operational and administrative excellence
    • Identifies profit enhancement opportunities for the hotel that lead to achieving overall financial objectives.
    • Ensures that all internal controls are strictly adhered to by the Hotel and these control policies and procedures are aligned with the governing laws and norms in the practice of accounting as well as with corporate standards of Wharf Hotel Management group.
    • Monitor and manages the Hotel’s cash position to ensure that all financial obligations are satisfied.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the General Manager on operational requirements of the Finance Department and/or Hotel.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Bachelor of Science Accountancy are minimum education qualifications.
    • Certified Public Accountant qualification is preferred.
