JOB TITLE: Finance Specialist
JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Specialist supports the management of financial accounts, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, disbursement processing, and compliance with tax and audit requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Journal Transactions
- Maintain accurate records for General Ledger, Cash Disbursement, and Receipts
- Update subsidiary ledgers (e.g., Cash, Receivables, Payables, Accrued Expenses)
- Prepare timely journal entries, including amortization, depreciation, and inventory adjustments
B. Inventory & Fixed Assets
- Conduct physical inventory quarterly
- Perform annual PPE count
C. Investments
- Monitor fund placements for optimal returns
- Verify time deposit certificates
- Record placements accurately
D. Reports
- Prepare and submit financial statements and regulatory reports (VAT, withholding tax, income tax)
- Check payroll and service charge accuracy
- Ensure timely submission of all required reports
E. Other Duties
- Update bank passbooks and Srates
- Canvass corporate rates
- Handle asset disposal and stockroom checks
- Perform additional assigned tasks
