EXECUTIVE CHEF

Job Description:
A highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef specializing in authentic Spanish cuisine to lead the kitchen operations of El Lago Restaurante. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu creation, quality control, staff supervision, and ensuring that all dishes maintain the highest culinary standards representative of traditional and contemporary Spanish gastronomy.
Functions With Objective Factors/Requirements of the Position:
Develop and execute an authentic Spanish menu, including regional specialties, seasonal menu updates and new dish innovation; Supervise and train kitchen staff in traditional Spanish cooking techniques; Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management and food costing; Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through culinary excellence.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Education: Must have completed formal culinary training from a Spanish culinary institution; preferably obtained in Spain.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a professional chef in a Spanish fine dining cuisine, with at least 5 years in an Executive Chef position;
  • Professional License: Certification or accreditation from a Spanish culinary association
  • Skills Certification: Must hold a valid Spanish culinary arts certification; Must have Master of Paella Certification or similar accreditation from Spain
  • Specialized training: Proven training in traditional and modern Spanish gastronomy; Certification in Jamón carving (Cortador de Jamón) and Denominación de Origen (D.O.) Spanish Wine Expert Training; Advanced knowledge of Spanish ingredient sourcing and handling
