Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, focusing on maintaining high food quality, hygiene, and safety standards. This role involves overseeing production, assisting in menu development, leading a large culinary team, and controlling costs. They ensure smooth service execution across various dining venues and collaborate with other departments to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in busy, multi-outlet restaurant venues, with strong background in both restaurant outlets and production kitchen operations.
- Proven experience in kitchen cost control, including inventory management, budgeting and cost-effective purchasing.
- Strong experience in recipe creation and menu development, with an eye for innovation and creativity while maintaining consistency.
- Excellent staff management and leadership skills, with proven track record of training and developing kitchen teams.
- Proficient in ordering and purchase systems and inventory management.
