Job Description

Responsible for analyzing and determining the total cost of construction projects. This includes reviewing blueprints, assessing material and labor expenses, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure the project stays within budget.

Knowledgeable on the following areas:

  1. Cost Estimation
  2. Material and Labor Analysis
  3. Bid Preparation
  4. Collaboration and Coordination
  5. Documentation and Reporting

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs.
  • Familiarity with blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical plans.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical documents and accurately estimate costs.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in estimating and cost calculations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
