Job Description

The Engineering Supervisor / Pollution Control Officer supervises the day-to-day activities of the engineering team onsite to ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of all production machinery and equipment. He/She as the Pollution Control Officer will be in-charge with the compliances and documentation of activities as needed by the different government agencies in-charge with environment management systems.

  • In-charge in application of Permit to Operate of all mechanical equipment inside the plant
  • In-charge in application for Certificate of electrical inspection to DOLE
  • In-charge in application of PTO renewal of Mechanical equipment to DOLE and DENR
  • In-charge in proper safe keeping and monitoring of company properties such as tools and issued communication radios.
  • Prepare and regularly update as built plans of mechanical and electrical installations.
  • Identify, order, and track materials, parts, and equipment requirements of planned work
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and projects of machinery/equipment.
  • Monitor production output and machine availability/performance on daily basis.
  • Conduct regular audit to the process of engineering department.
  • Submit compliance report to DOLE/DENR/LLDA and PDEA.
  • Act as plant Pollution Control Officer.
  • Assign, train, develop and supervise work of engineering department’s personnel.

Qualifications/Requirements

Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge of the operation and maintenance of food industry equipment and experience in large mechanical/electrical equipment service and repair
  • Supervisory or management experience in production/facilities operations and maintenance
  • Knowledgeable in application of Permit to Operate to Government's regulatory agency
  • Knowledge of electrical system, safety and environmental issues related to STP, diesel engines and boilers.
  • Must be computer literate and effectively uses office application software; Knowledgeable and experienced in CAD.
  • Can draw and interpret as built plans of electrical and mechanical installations.
Educational / Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or other Engineering related courses.
  • Licensed Engineer / Chemist with at least two (2) years relevant experience in environmental management.

Work Schedule: Mondays-Thursdays (7am-5pm), Fridays (7am-4pm)
