- Acts as Machining Foreman whenever Foreman is absent or assigned in a different shift.
- Reviews daily production plan. Discuss problems encountered and ideas for improvement with the immediate supervisor.
- Communicates clearly with subordinates the information from Management and makes sure that it is understood.
- Assist machining foreman in the following:
- Maintaining the quality of Machined transmission parts according to company standards to prevent spoilage and rejections.
- Preparing and implementing schedule of machining jobs.
- Requisitioning supplies and materials needed by the section.
- In seeing to it that the lathe, milling and press machines, instruments, jigs and other equipment are properly tended, used and operated.
5. Coordinates with:
- Quality Assurance with respect to the problems and/or difficulties encountered by the section to attain the desired quality of machined parts.
- Production Control to ensure smooth flow of turn over of materials/machined parts from Machining section to crib and vise-versa.
- Tool Supply and Control Section to ensure smooth flow of cutting tools for regrinding.
6. Recommends to Machining Foreman improvements in machining processes to reduce cost and increase productivity.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
