The Solar Electrician is responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in residential, commercial, or industrial projects. This includes ensuring all electrical components are installed in compliance with local codes, safety standards, and system design requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install electrical wiring, inverters, and other system components of solar PV systems.
- Connect solar panels to the electrical grid or battery storage systems.
- Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to solar installations.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Coordinate with installation and engineering teams to ensure proper system layout.
- Prepare necessary documentation such as electrical test reports and installation checklist.
- Use tools and equipment safely and properly in the field.
