Installation:
Installing new electrical wiring, panels, and equipment.
Setting up and connecting electrical components according to blueprints and electrical codes.
Installing lighting fixtures, outlets, and switches.
Maintenance and Repair:
Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems.
Repairing or replacing damaged wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
Performing routine maintenance to ensure electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
Testing and Inspection:
Using testing equipment to identify electrical faults and problems.
Inspecting electrical installations and systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
Other Duties:
Following safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
Working with a variety of hand and power tools.
Communicating with clients and other tradespeople.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of electrical theory and codes (e.g., National Electrical Code).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
