ELECTRICIAN
QUALIFICATIONS
• Complete, level 2 diploma in Electrical Installation or a level 3 diploma in electrical and electronic engineering.
• Consider attending a trade or vocational – technical school.
• Apply for apprenticeship.
• Register as an electrician apprentice.
• Complete the apprenticeship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring and lighting systems.
• Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Performing general electrical maintenance.
• Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate devices.
