JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer Officer leads and manages the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for construction and manufacturing facilities. This role ensures all electrical work meets project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards while driving continuous improvement in design and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Design & Engineering
- Lead the design of electrical power distribution systems, lighting, control systems, and grounding for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Develop specifications, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and equipment selection for construction and manufacturing projects.
- Oversee integration of electrical systems with mechanical equipment, automation, and production lines.
Project Leadership
- Manage electrical engineering scope, schedule, and budgets across multiple projects.
- Coordinate with architects, civil, structural, and mechanical engineers to deliver fully integrated solutions.
- Support construction teams during installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
Standards & Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEC, OSHA).
- Develop and enforce electrical safety procedures and quality standards.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide advanced technical support during construction, manufacturing equipment installation, and production ramp-up.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for electrical system failures.
Team Development & Mentorship
- Supervise and mentor electrical engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and professional development.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to define requirements and ensure expectations are met.
- Prepare and present technical reports, submittals, and progress updates.
