  • Operate various types of drilling equipment (e.g., sonic drills, auger drills, rotary drills) to install geotechnical instruments such as inclinometers, piezometers, and other sensors.
  • Prepare drilling sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Accurately position and install instruments according to provided plans and specifications.
  • Maintain drilling equipment in good working order, performing routine maintenance and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, soil conditions, and any encountered problems.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in drilling or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating drilling equipment, preferably in geotechnical applications.
  • Experience with various drilling methods (e.g., sonic drilling, auger drilling, rotary drilling).
  • Ability to read and interpret drilling plans and specifications.
