  • Maintaining the cleanliness of various areas, including homes, offices, and other facilities. They typically perform tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash. Some positions may also include laundry duties or childcare assistance. 
  •  Cleaning floors in various areas, including homes, offices, and other facilities. 
  • Removing dirt and debris from carpets and rugs. 
  • Removing dust from furniture, shelves, and other surfaces. 
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred by many employers. Experience in cleaning, even just in a personal capacity, is valuable. Many employers also look for strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and the physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks.
