  • Manages a department of software engineers assigned with the design, development, and build release of software products to provide end-user functionality and promote sales.
  • • Oversees the software development process; establishes and defines the projects with the applicable estimated time, expense, and manpower for completion. Establishes the overall objectives and initiatives for the software development department.
  • • Performs daily management of software development department; reviews project progress and evaluates results. Supervises software development teams and assists in the software development process; directs coding in programming languages, and debugging or testing, as required.
  • • Prepares weekly and monthly development status reports to management, reviews project status reports for department, prepares and reports project schedules for software projects within department.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, CompSci, or other related engineering courses
  • Relevant work experience: at least 5 years in the same industry
  • Knowledge of and experience with printer software solutions business
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
