  1. Accurately encode and input data from various source documents into computer systems or databases.
  2. Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check output.
  3. Verify data by comparing it to source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Maintain data integrity and ensure that data is processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Prepare and sort documents for data entry.
  6. Update existing data as needed and retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
  7. Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. Proficient typing skills
  2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  3. Familiarity with database systems, spreadsheets, and data entry software
  4. Basic understanding of office equipment like scanners and printers
  5. Previous experience as a data encoder, data entry clerk, or similar administrative role (typically 1–2 years)
  6. Experience handling sensitive or confidential data
  7. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills
  9. Ability to follow instructions and company data policies
  10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  11. Good written and verbal communication skills
  12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  13. Trustworthiness and strong sense of confidentiality
