I. JOB SUMMARY
The Credit Officer provides analytical, detail oriented support for ensuring accuracy and
quality for all loan requests prior to loan booking.
II. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Credit Analysis and Evaluation (PL, CSL and ATM)
• Directly responsible in establishing “sound credit worthiness” on all booked accounts
• Safeguards the Company’s interest thru prudent review of the approval process on all booked accounts
• Analyzes, recommends and approves loan applications within the assigned approving authority limit and in compliance with the set standards.
• Ensures that all policy, credit and documentation exceptions were surfaced and approved by the proper Approving Authorities;
• Upgrades the quality of the loan portfolio by analyzing the risk factors involved in a loan and determines which accounts are to be avoided in the future, and which accounts are to be pursued
• Responsible for generating reports to Management
• Conduct credit bureau analysis, tele C.I., bank checking, bank statement analysis and employment verification
2. Documentation and Reporting (PL, CSL and ATM)
• Preparation of Loan Agreement Memo/ Scheduling of Bookings
• Reporting of Approved, Declined and Compliance Accounts/ Database updating
3. Agency and Agent Accreditation (PL)
• Checking the completeness of documents
• Screening of application
• Evaluation and recommendation for approval
• Handles inquiries and concerns of channels
4. People Management
• Coaches, trains, motivates and evaluates Credit Analyst and Credit Investigator job performance
• Manages and supervises the Credit Officer/Analyst and Credit Investigators.
