Job Description

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are the specific duties and responsibilities of the Corporate Council.

Leads all aspects of employee policy and legal aspects of the labor and employment law.
Ensures compliance of the company to the national and local government laws and codes and plans, implements and secures the mandatory and ethical obligatory standards, policies and guidelines to reach a level of legal compliance across all different business teams in the market.
Supports and advises managers on company HR-related policies, procedures and programs and proactively manages employee relations within the site teams and all other support teams.
Coaches and supports managers on the company’s disciplinary routines, grievance and remedial process, dialogue process, active feedback to promote fairness, consistency and employee engagement in compliance to labor and employment law.
Works closely with stakeholders to develop and implement global policies and locally competitive strategies connected to compensation and benefits.
Review, research, interpret, and prepares written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues.
Represent or oversee the representation in behalf of the company in judicial and administrative proceedings, and in negotiations with other agencies
Recommend and report to upper management legal matters affecting the operation of the company and labor related problems.
Perform other duties as assigned by the higher management.
Draft and administer all vendor contracts.
Prepare board resolutions.
Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.
Develop/Review company policies and and safeguard company against legal risks.

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead by example as a role model for Fair Trade Outsourcing’s mission, vision, and Agents Bill of Rights (ABOR).
Initiate and drive the delivery of business and corporate plans for assigned areas of responsibility.
Take a proactive approach towards risk management, ensuring risks and issues are accurately identified, addressed, and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.
Be actively involved with managing individuals or teams through line management and/or matrix management arrangements as required, ensuring underperformance is managed, exemplary performance is reinforced, and adequate resourcing is planned to meet objectives.
Must be fully aware of and actively complying with Fair Trade Outsourcing’s policies and procedures relevant to your own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including but not limited to equality, sustainability and the environment, health and safety, and data protection.


Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Laws and BAR exam passer.
At least one (1) year of law practice or corporate experience and have gained at least one (1) year of actual litigation experience.
Knowledgeable of Labor law, Civil, Criminal Law, Corporation Law
Must be knowledgeable in Compliance, Labor Relations Management, Litigation, Reportorial, Contracts and Resolution.
Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
Must have good organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills, strong facilitation, decision- making, time management skills.
Capability to manage multiple demands while maintaining excellent professional relationship and providing prompt legal service.
