COMPUTER APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

This key position is responsible for providing application maintenance and support to internal and external clients to minimize serve disruption, within agreed Service Level and Standards.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide application maintenance and support to Internal and External BSD Clients.
  • Classification of Support tickets (Incident/Change requests).
  • Delivering support to existing live/production users and investigating and/ or resolving errors by code debugging/code fixing and/or checking for data discrepancies and queries.
  • Liaise with the client and internal groups in handling problem investigation/resolution (Incident) and Request fulfillment (Change Requests).
  • Reports security incidents and/ or any identified system security weaknesses.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

• Key Tasks:
  • Log a ticket for a request for support from Helpdesk or directly from internal and external clients.
  • Determine if a ticket is an Incident or a Change Request.
  • Endorse Change Requests to Request Fulfillment process.
  • Investigate Incidents and determine appropriate actions to take to resolve it.
  • Perform bug fic, or provide initial diagnosis to development team should bug fixing requires development team’s assistance.
  • Monitor progress of Incident tickets up to closure.
  • Determine major Incidents and Incidents that should undergo problem management.
  • Document and perform Root Cause Analysis.
  • Maintain and regularly update knowledge database.
  
  
  Project Responsibilities:
  • Monitors performance of system after implementation based on the approved implementation and backout plan.
  • Secure Project Hand off Documentations from Project Teams.
