Responsibilities:
• Registered nurse, having a BOSH training prescribed by DOLE is an advantage
• With or without work experience; experience in a manufacturing setting is an advantage
• Willing to be trained in other facets of the human resource especially in the compensation and benefits area
• Computer savvy and can work with email, MS Office, and Excel
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Requirements and skills:
1. Provides nursing care to injured or ill workers:
a. Administering them first aid treatment or dispensing over-the-counter medicines;
b. Assisting them to the nearest hospital, if needed;
c. Coordinates with the accident insurance provider and the Main Office- CompBen Staff for accident-related assistance.
2. Checks/verifies injured/ill workers going out on undertime; and ensures they submit “Fit to Work” certificate and other documentary requirements upon re-entry to the company.
3. Coordinates with the company’s healthcare provider during annual health examinations in partnership with the HR-Main Compben Staff:
a. Organizing schedules and logistical needs during the annual health examinations;
b. Participating in health maintenance examination. If a physician is not available, performs work activities which are within the scope allowed by the nursing profession, and if more extensive examinations are needed, to refer the same to a physician.
4. Responsible for developing and implementing Occupational Health and Safety Programs.
5. Participates in the maintenance of occupational health and safety by giving suggestions in the improvement of working environment affecting the health and well-being of the workers.
6. Conducts inventory of medicines and medical supplies/equipment every month; and requests for its restocking.
7. Conducts health seminar and learning sessions from time to time.
8. Maintains a reporting and records system, and, if a physician is not available, prepares and submits medical reports to the Management.
