Key Responsibilities
Driving and Transportation
Safely transport goods, materials, and occasionally personnel to designated locations following assigned routes and schedules.
Load and unload items from the vehicle as necessary, ensuring all items are secure and protected from damage.
Follow traffic laws and company driving regulations to ensure the safety of all passengers and goods.
Logistics Coordination
Coordinate with warehouse or delivery personnel for the accurate and efficient loading and unloading of goods.
Communicate delivery status, delays, or issues to the logistics team or dispatch.
Maintain delivery schedules and adhere to deadlines for pick-ups and deliveries.
Vehicle Maintenance
Conduct daily inspections of the assigned vehicle, including checking fuel, oil, tires, lights, and overall condition.
Ensure that the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times.
Report any mechanical issues or damages to the supervisor immediately and arrange for repairs as needed.
Documentation
Accurately complete all required delivery documentation, including waybills, delivery receipts, and any relevant logs.
Maintain records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage.
Ensure all paperwork is signed and filed correctly.
Customer Service
Interact with clients, customers, or other third parties professionally during deliveries or pick-ups.
Address any inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
Represent the company positively during all interactions.
Warehouse Assistance
Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, organizing, and preparing items for shipment.
Participate in inventory management, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and organized.
Help with general logistics planning, route optimization, and resource allocation when needed.
