Job Description

A Field Credit Investigator is responsible for conducting on-site investigations to verify the creditworthiness and background of loan applicants or clients. This role involves verifying information like identity, residence, and employment, as well as gathering and analyzing financial documents and credit reports. They also assess the risk associated with loans and make recommendations based on their findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Field Verifications: Physically verifying the identity, residence, and employment of loan applicants through site visits and contacting references.
  • Gathering and Analyzing Information: Collecting and reviewing financial documents, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess creditworthiness.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluating the risk associated with loan applications based on the gathered information and making recommendations for approval or denial.
  • Maintaining Records: Keeping detailed records of investigations and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Reporting and Communication: Preparing comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations, and responding to inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to internal policies and regulations, as well as relevant laws and regulations related to credit investigations.

    • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of credit reporting and financial regulations.
    • Familiarity with credit investigation procedures and methodologies.
