JOB SUMMARY:
Provides nursing care and clinical management to TB patients under Programmatic Management of Drug Resistant TB (PMDT).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Screens presumptive TB patients
2. Does recording and reporting for TB patients.
3. Administers medical procedures and treatment to TB patients following given procedures and directive of the Physician
4. Monitors the progress of patients and their medical results and report for appropriate action
5. Conducts household contact and coordinate with PPMD/TB units and local government units related to contact tracing for TB cases, and patient’s management concerns
6. Drugs and supplies management
7. Does post-treatment follow up of the patients
8. Works with Clinic Personnel in designing and implementing activities to improve patient’s adherence to TB Program including health education, counseling, and advocacy campaign
9. Coordinates and cooperates with health partners like the DOH, NTRL, CHD, PHOs, CHOs, MHO, iDOTS, RTDLs, culture centers, laboratories, treatment hubs, hospitals, and other TB stakeholders
10. Provides guidance and assist the STRiders, and Community Volunteers in the TB program implementation
11. Generates and submits TB Reports
12. Participates in the clinical trials and research projects
13. Encodes and updates electronic database and reports like ITIS and other EMRs if necessary
14. Mentors and monitors iDOTS facilities for DRTB clinical, supplies, and data management
15. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor and/or management
