Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer
Conducts thorough technical and economical evaluation to ensure that implementation is carried out according to the project design and specification.
Prepares project cost estimates and assists the project manager in the preparation of the final construction budget.
Prepares schedules incorporating other disciplines and activities outside the scope of works that are necessary to complete the project.
In charge of manpower hiring and allocation in the different phases and areas of the project
Responsible for the requisitions of all required materials and equipment based on the approved bill of quantities and monitors and ensures their on-time delivery to the worksite
Oversees all works and operations of the project including activities that involve subcontractors (MEPF) and vendors,e.g. mobilization
Prepares regular reports on actual accomplishment against projected accomplishment.
Performs quality assurance/quality control of the project.
Utilizes practical construction materials and construction methodology to keep up with the estimated construction cost and to facilitate/ hasten the completion of the project.
Coordinates with client representatives/ designers/ consultants/ assigned personnel to oversee the site regarding technical and construction issues encountered during implementation and immediately confers with the Project manager on its effect on the cost and schedule of the project.
Works closely with the Project Manager and keeps him updated and informed of all matters that will affect the cost, time, and quality of the project.
Communicates all changes in planning to the Project Manager and to all concerned to ensure the project schedule is always updated.
