• Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor, and time
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Liaising with suppliers in relation to project costings requests for quotes Work alongside Quantity Surveyor, Director, and Project team during various project stages
• Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors Attends pre-bid meetings and conduct actual site inspection prior to preparation of bill of quantities
• Preparation of detailed bill of materials and coordinates it to the cost estimator
• Double checking of bill of materials for projects that provide their own bill of materials
• Coordinates with clients on technical aspects of the project for quotation
• Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
• Undertaking complex and repetitive calculations
• Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors
• Compiling Job specifications and supervising tendering procedures
• Resolving design and development problems
• Managing budgets and project resources
• Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries
• Making sure the project complies with legal requirements
• Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
• Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time
• Follow all safety rules and procedures established for work area
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
