Prepare detailed instrument installation plans, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety protocols.
  • Oversee the installation and calibration of geotechnical instruments, including inclinometers, piezometers, extensometers, and other relevant sensors.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data acquisition and management plan.
  • Collect, process, and analyze geotechnical instrumentation data using appropriate software and techniques.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, summarizing data trends and highlighting any significant findings or anomalies.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor instrument performance and identify any potential issues or maintenance needs.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing the geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring results.
  • Collaborate effectively with geotechnical engineers, construction personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of all instrumentation, data, and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation problems and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on instrumentation and monitoring. Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and instrumentation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using geotechnical instrumentation software for data acquisition, processing, and analysis.
  • Experience with various types of geotechnical instruments (e.g., inclinometers, piezometers, extensometers).
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations.
