The Chief of General Insurance Officer (CGIO) is a senior-level executive responsible for overseeing the company's general insurance operations, which covers processes for risk assessment and acceptance until issuance of policy and claims management for all P&C lines of business. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across all general insurance segments while fostering a culture of talent development and continuous learning.
• Lead the general insurance business unit, including technical, business development, claims management, policy fulfillment, and merger & acquisition.
• Develop, execute, and track strategic plans to achieve growth and profitability objectives across P&C portfolio.
• Oversee risk management activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and requirements, both local and Group.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape, making recommendations for product innovations and process improvements.
• Prepare and present regular reports to the Board of Directors and senior management, including AXA International Markets and AXA Group, if required.
• Collaborate with other executives to align general insurance operations with the overall company strategy.
• Collaborating with other senior leaders to develop and execute cross-functional initiatives that support the company's overall business objectives.
• Closely collaborates with the distribution channels to align the sales strategies with the general insurance business’ strategies and products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and talent development.
• Develop and implement talent development programs, including training, coaching, and succession planning, to ensure the long-term success of the team.
• Ensure that talent bench is established across the different lines of business under the division.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service from risk assessment to issuance of policy to timely and fair settlement of claims.
