JOB SUMMARY
The Casino Cashier is responsible for the accurate and efficient exchange of cash, checks, and other monetary instruments for chips or vice versa in compliance with all gaming procedures while providing excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive cash and other modes of payment from players and exchange it with gaming chips, tickets, vouchers, or other casino services (e.g. program enrollment, buy-in, patron deposits, etc.)
- Process credit card and other electronic fund transfer transactions
- Process release of cash to players and redemption of vouchers and prizes (e.g. withdrawals, settlement, reimbursement, e-cash out, slot payment vouchers, jackpot payout, etc.)
- Issue chip warrants under the supervision of Casino Treasury Supervisor/Manager
- Balance transactions against currency, cash, and checks on hand at the end of the shifts
- Perform soft count/bill count on rotation basis
- Conduct balance of chip bank and window balancing
- Report all lost and found cash and chips

- Adhere strictly to established policies, procedures, internal controls and guidelines
- Identify and report counterfeit gaming chips, currencies, coins, checks, and other monetary instruments
- Verify player’s information by requesting for valid identification documents and report any fraudulent transactions
- Treat customers with the utmost courtesy, diplomacy and respect in adherence to the Casino Service Policy
- Handle customer complaints and identify situations that require supervisor intervention
