Job Description
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to ascertain product and technical requirements
- Comprehend customer, business, and technical requirements to formulate effective test plans and cases
- Design, implement, and execute functional, system integration, end-to-end, regression, and automated tests to ensure the highest standards of product quality
- Develop testing programs that address areas such as databases, impacts, software scenarios, regression, negative testing, error or bug retesting, and usability
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities, ensuring thorough test case reviews
- Evaluate the automation framework implementation and provide strategic recommendations to enhance coverage and minimize redundancy
- Analyse test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
- Oversee defect tracking processes, including the identification, logging, retesting, and closure of defects
- Engage with engineering teams to ensure comprehensive features and cross-feature integration, as well as comprehensive end-to-end testing, thereby ensuring optimal test coverage
- Supervise the continuous quality assurance of technology products and devise strategies to elevate their quality
- Relentlessly seek opportunities to refine, optimize, and simplify existing testing processes and methodologies, employing automation wherever practicable
- Instruct new team members in quality assurance processes and tools, including TestCafe with TypeScript for UI and API automation testing, qTest for test management, and version control tools such as Azure DevOps and Git Hub
- Conduct thorough reviews of software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Execute all responsibilities in line with the plan and in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Build strong working relationships with cross department teams and needs excellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and oral communication and active listening skills
- Demonstrated commitment to regular, punctual attendance, including availability to work nights and weekends as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and/or automation engineering, with a strong background in SAFe Agile environments
- In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, software testing life cycle (STLC), defect tracking, and quality management practices
- Extensive experience with test automation tools such as TestCafe or similar frameworks, demonstrating the ability to design, develop, and maintain automation scripts
- Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages including but not limited to Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Advanced SQL skills for performing backend data validation tasks; experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL
- Proven experience in API testing and test automation using tools like SOAP UI and Rest Assured
- Experience in integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, including how automation frameworks and test executions can be adapted for cloud environments
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
