We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Insurance Verification of Benefits Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering all benefits related to physical therapy services provided in our office setting into our EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system. Additionally, the candidate will be required to navigate through Availity & other insurance websites to confirm the accuracy of the information provided.
Responsibilities
- Initiate phone calls to various insurance providers to obtain verification of benefits for physical therapy services.
- Determine patient responsibility and co-pays for physical therapy services through effective communication with insurance representatives.
- Accurately enter verified benefit information and patient responsibility details into the EMR system.
- Utilize Availity or similar platforms to cross-reference and confirm the accuracy of benefits data provided by insurance companies.
- Collaborate with the billing and administrative teams to ensure seamless integration of benefits information into patient records.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and procedures related to benefit verification.
- Communicate effectively with insurance representatives to obtain necessary information and resolve any discrepancies.
