Job Description

  1. Works closely with production engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacturers of operation requirements.
  2. Responsible for the specification compliance of designs in accordance with departmental procedures.
  3. Responsible for preparing and presenting mechanical designs.
  4. Carries out detailed mechanical design work including 2D and 3D modelling, simulation and design verification testing, as required.
  5. Coordination of mechanical design approach with the Engineering Head and Team Leader.
  6. Ensures design files and information are kept up to date, and stored in accordance with departmental procedures.
  7. Keeps up to date with the latest operational requirements and drawing standards.
  8. Follows departmental processes relating to the management of designs.
  9. Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner.
  10. Ensures the mechanical design output fits in with all other aspects of the design.
  11. Conduct on – site works or fieldworks as needed and requested.
  12. Conducts dimensional inspection using the guide or assistance of a Senior Engineer.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineer and/ or equivalent / related course
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply and are most welcome.
  • Employee must trainable and willing to adapt to changes and learn skills.
  • License ME is an advantage.
  • Having a comparable background and experience is advantageous but not required.
