Performs a variety of routine repairs; replaces light bulbs; repairs, adjusts and replaces electrical, plumbing, components, and fixtures; patches holes; and paints.
Performs gardening duties; mows, edges, waters, and trims lawns, hoes and pulls weeds; rakes leaves; edges walkways; applies pest control methods according to established procedures.
Unclogs drains and toilets as needed.
Operates and maintains hand and power tools, vehicles, and light to heavy power equipment needed to perform routine building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and custodial activities.
Moves, arranges, picks up, and distributes furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Identifies and reports maintenance and repair needs and problems; reports safety, sanitary and fire hazards to appropriate staff.
Monitors and assists in maintaining inventory levels of building and grounds maintenance and custodial supplies; assists with ordering and receiving supplies.
Maintains routine records related to assigned activities.
Vacuums and polishes floors.

At least High School graduate.
Knowledge of building maintenance and custodial practices and procedures including repairing, adjusting, and replacing electrical parts; plumbing; painting; cleaning and basic carpentry.
Knowledge of proper methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used to perform general building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and custodial work.
