In need of an experienced Bosun for our tanker vessels
• Organizing the deck ratings to carry out the requirements of the Chief Officer
• The control and distribution of all deck stores and paints used
• Assisting in the mooring and anchoring of the ship
• The initial discipline of all deck ratings
• For the proper handling of garbages according Rules, company’s requirements & Chief Officer’s orders
• To support the shipboard organization and safety organization.
• Responsible to the Chief Mate for the effective deployment, including timekeeping of ratings assigned to him for operations and maintenance and to ensure that safe working practices are followed at all times
• To carry out assigned task and to take charge when required during mooring, unmooring, anchor work, shifting ship.
• To supervise and assist with the rigging and use of lifting gear on deck and in the engine room.
• To supervise and assist with hold/tank cleaning, washing, preparation.
• Assist officers when and where required during cargo, bunkering or berthing operations.
• Assign ratings to supervise handle and stow stores and spare gear.
